Assalamualaikum dan Salam 1Malaysia.

     Pada 30 May 2012, Pihak SMKTM telah mengadakan suatu ceramah bertemakan "Isu Remaja Lari dari Rumah" telah diuadakan di Dewan Seri Melawati, SMK Taman Melawati. Penceramah pada hari tersebut merupakan Ins/P Basri bin Mohamed Jali dari unit e-aduan, Bahagian Hal Ehwal Awam, Bukit Aman.

    Beliau telah mengenalkan dirinya sebelum meneruskan ceramah tersebut dengan mengenal pasti dan mendefinisikan tajuk ceramah tersebut. Utama sekali, beliau telah mendefinisikan apa sebenarnya isu yang dibincangkan, iaitu isu remaja lari dari rumah, dan seterusnya meneruskan dengan definisi reamaj sendiri, iaitu mengikut Kamus Dewan, Dewan Bahasa dan Pustaka.

   Di samping itu, beliau turut menerangkan serba sedikit masalah-masalah dan punca masalah-masalah yang biasanya mengakibatkan remaja lari dari rumah. Beliau meneruskan ceramah dengan mengembangkan tajuk tersebut dengan turut memasukkan contoh-contoh masalah pergaulan, disiplin dan jenayah yang mengakibatkan remaja lari dari rumah.

  Akhir sekali, beliau telah memasukkan kesan remaja lari dari rumah dan punca masalah sosial yang utama yang melibatkan remaja pada hari ini.

MENCEGAH LEBIH BAIK DARIPADA MEMERANGI

Mural(Sekolah Penyayang) 2012

     On the 5Th of June should be remembered by most KPJ members we started our first big task of the year,a mural for school. We were honoured to receive this task because this is our first big activity for this year.Thus we kick start our 2nd semester with a new image

     We received this task from our teacher Cikgu Fairus after he received the assignment from the education department on the 18th of may to lend a hand to the participant of the district mural competition.So before the holidays began we sat down in a group and discussed about when were we going to start the mural because of our exam was on going during that period of the month we decided to start the mural on 29th of June and thus we told the members of Kpj about the the date that we have all agreed on.As soon as the exams were over,we held a meeting with the few who were chosen to participate in the competition so we brainstormed about how the design would be and we had a rough idea of what we wanted.

      On the 27Th of June we had to delay the mural for a week due to unavoidable events so we informed the others about the delay. Some of them couldn't make it cause they too had unavoidable events so we started on the 5Th of June on that day we arrived at school at 8.00 sharp Harith,Amraj and Syed came at 7.30am because they were unsure of the time so they though it'd better to be safe then sorry as soon as everyone arrived. We were a bit lost because the original idea had left out too much empty space and Beatrice,Sylas and Salahudin couldn't make it that day so we decided to just start fresh on that day.So those who came that day was Carrisa,Annur/Annie,Natasha,Amraj,Syed,Harith and Low(me). The spot we were spouse to paint was like a mosquito nest and non of us brought mosquito repellent or a mosquito coil so we just live with our recklessness and continue brainstorming.Soon we came up with the idea of the school badge with a heart around it cause it matches the theme. It took us the whole day to finish the heart so we called it a day and we sat down at the canteen to eat our brunch that our teacher bought for us.

End of day 1

         So the next day when Beatrice Sylas and Salahudin came they showed us the original plan but they though the heart was a good idea so they decided to just stick to it and try to add something to the background then Beatrice came up with the idea to add the Malaysia flag and the Selangor flag as the symbol of nationalism but the background was still empty so Sylas came up with the idea to add splats to the background to make it look modern but sadly we couldn't use spray paint so we decided to improvise and use mural paint to create unnatural splats(it wasn't as nice as natural splat but it still looked quite nice). So everyone agreed to the idea and we started drawing splats around the heart we were having so much fun drawing the splat and making jokes about each other before we know it we finished the splats thus we started painting Harith,Syed and I was excited because all three of us are terrible at drawing. And that is why we're in the science stream, back to the story we started off by painting the heart and the school badge.Then some of us started with the flags. Don't tell me you were expecting 10 people to cramp up in one spot right?So we just coloured the school badge and splats around the heart and before we know it, it was noon already and as usual we sat down have our lunch share some our funny experiences before we went home.

    On the third day we did this which was friday we had couldn't continue this on tuesday because Our deputy prime minister  Tan Sri Muhyiddin Yassin came to our school for a special event thus we had a day rest. On friday,we started colouring the flags and more of the splats that day everything started getting chaotic cause we were using more and more colour and we had to mix up colours to create new colours but some how we started playing with paints. Every time we finish painting a few splats we would take the brush and brush their T-shirt,sleeve or their hand. We decided to make Annur's colourful sleeve even more colourful cause she accidentally touch some colours with her sleeve so we decided to add a little extra to it and best part was mural paints dont come off from shirts easy,well unless if you use bleach a few times, so we just ignored that and continued our work but who'd have thought that painting is so tiring but at the same time we had a lot of fun though our parents wasn't so happy with our newly coloured t-shirt.

End of day 4

   
      On monday we showed the teacher what did we accomplish within 3 days then we told him about how much time do we need and he told us to take our time and don't rush it. so monday we went to class as usual .So the next day we began our work after recess we continue where we left off the empty heart in the middle slowly a few of us started colouring while the rest starts to colour tone the rest of the paintings after we are done with the heart we colour tone the school badge and patch up the missing spots but that day time seems to be passing very slow because we had to control our voice and our discipline because we are working during school hours. Our Principle Puan Nasran and a few other teachers came and asked us how are we progressing and with that we felt so honoured doing this. After all the toning we though we could just call it a day but then we realise our theme isn't complete yet because we are missing the people so Syed came up with the idea of adding some people in there. Everyone agreed and we added some people in there when we finish drawing the faces we tested some colour but it was exactly 12.30pm already so we had to start cleaning up the painting tools that we used that day by the time we finish cleaning it was already 1.10pm

End of day 5

        On wednesday we tried to find the right colour for the people we find it difficult to find the right colour for them because it would either be too dark or too bright because asian has this colour tone which is very unique and it's hard to copy that colour so we just made a closest colour.That day we had a lot of help from other student because they told us whether is the colour too bright or too dark there were also some student that wanted to come and help us paint but we didn't let them because they just wanted to skip class that day. so back to the point we manage to finish all the faces even though we did all sorts of funny skin colours but in the even we made it. so we went back to our school badge cause it was incomplete so we just finish what was left out and added a few extra stuff

    On Thursday we just gave the faces hair eyes and some even teeth.Then the rest of the day we used it to repaint certain colours on the wall because we haven't coat the paint with clear spray and the remaining time was used to colour the background and make the KPJ logo. then the next day we only start to colour the wall after coating the background with with colour.Annur,Syed and I weren't around on that day so Natasha and Carissa discussed with the teacher about the clear spray so we finished the painting and hoping it would rain on saturday and sunday so that the sun wouldn't turn the paint colour old. The 3rd monday we wrote our name around the KPJ logo at the bottom right of the painting after that we just used the clear spray and sprayed the whole mural painting as the finishing touch for the mural. After it ended we went to the counselling room and the teacher bought us pizza

            Anyway, the first Big task went well and i want to thank everyone who came and gave a helping hand and i wish to express our sincere gratitude to everyone who participated even though it was tiring but you have to admit that we had a great time doing the mural. and again i thank everyone who came and help. I look forward for more activities like this
